Medical Assistant Training Program

Join our Medical Assistant Training Program, one of the fastest growing career fields in the United States and become proficient in Front and Back Office skills! The program includes 375 hours of classroom instruction and a placement at a clinic or doctor's office for 160 hours of externship. National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) Certified Medical Assistant exam is available at the conclusion of class for an additional cost.


Both day and evening classes available.

Day Classes: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM-2 PM, 18 weeks

Evening Classes: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30 - 9 PM, 35 weeks


Administrative and Clinical Skills include:

  • Medical Law and Ethics and Physiology
  • Professional Communication (including verbal and non-verbal communication)
  • Business Communication (including telephone and written communication)
  • Patient Screening
  • Computerized Practice Management
  • Patient Records
  • Medical Insurance and Coding
  • Billing and Payment for Medical Services
  • Preparation for Clinical Procedures
  • Assistance with Examinations
  • Medication Administration, including subcutaneous, intradermal, and intramuscular injections
  • ECG Performance
  • Sterile Techniques (including hand hygiene, gloving, asepsis, sterile procedure set up and assist)
  • Vital Signs and Measurements
  • Laboratory Procedures
  • First Aid and Responding to Emergencies
  • Rehabilitation and Healthy Living

Class Details

Materials: Discussed at Orientation
Prerequisites: High School Diploma or equivalency. Students must attend an rientation prior to enrollment.
